I'm back baby!

  Engles Mummy
Hi All,

After almost a month without driving the beast, I'd thought I'd take it out for a drive & a well deserved clean!

WARNING - first set of pictures show the v6 in an extremely dirty condition, viewer discretion is advised.

My apologies for the quality of the pictures, you can thank nokia for that.

Even though hate the v6 most of the time, every now and then it just catches my eye at a curtain angle which makes me fall in love with it all over again!

Nice pattern that wiper blade makes. :)

lol, good eye m8.

Why the hatred you ask?

Well for a few reasons;

Firstly, it's not fast enough for me. It looks fantastic don't get me wrong, but the speed seriously needs to match its crazy looks. Handling also isn't up to scratch, I'm not a great driver but I know when a car isn't set up right for fast road/track driving. Far too much weight at the rear and soon as it goes to drift out, boom you’re in the ditch!

But that’s ok; I forgive the v6 because Renault didn't design for that. It's a cruiser, a looker, a special car which should be driven slowly through busy towns so everyone has time to take a good look and a picture maybe.

I may sound slightly bias towards it, because my expectations of the v6 were so much greater then what I ended up with. I had a 172 cup (tracked out) before, it was fast, great fun, safe to drive at high speeds & very good at handling. I got in to the v6 and I immediately felt unsafe going round corners fast, so I held back a lot (which I don’t like doing) so the fun factor dropped tremendously.

The v6 is a great car, but it just isn't for me. Hate is the wrong word, I take it back;

I simply don't mix well with it.

As for the daily car, I use the amg a lot now because my Mother works from home and she doesn't really use it that much. I work up in London; train station is 10mins away, so it's not difficult using another car or getting a lift in.

As for the v6, it's just sitting in dormant now till someone picks it up or I decide to turn it in to a track car....ooooo so tempting.

In the garage there is - A 3.5 litre v8 rover & a 5 litre v8 dax cobra (not finished building it yet)

looked better dirty

I prefer it dirty.

I'll leave it for a good 2/3 months this time and we'll see how dirty we can really get it. Well I may not have the fastest, the most extreme or the cleanest…but least I have the dirtiest ever v6.
