if I cant change the bloody sidelight on the drivers side! Is this the most awkward thing in the world to do?! The passenger side was a piece of pi$$ but this has reduced me to tears!

Is there an easy way of getting the bulb or it just a case of persevering and getting lucky?

any hints and tips gratefully received!

yeah..i seem to have difficulty getting my fingers in and finding just the right spot, just when i think i have it my fingers get tired and i have to start over...

bulb is a pain as well

it sometimes helps if you remove the main beam light them pull the sidelight out

if your in/around bham ill do it for you

only one prob with that fix is buying the new light!!!!

it can be done I changed sidelights and main beam without doing anything special, got bloody hands in process though.


then put some blue visions in as they last longer, saves your hands.

best bet is hold the bulb in ur palm, find the hole with ur finger (look through the front so you can see when the finger is in the whole, then feed the bulb down ur hand into it. Took me about 15 mins in the dark last weekend - right biAtch!

Just keep trying, skinned a few knuckles changing mine over. Doesnt help that they handily put all the air con pipes in there too

Renos are more trouble than they are worth, id get another car instead.

Renos are more trouble than they are worth, id get another car instead.

I find holding the bulb and turning the car works best for me!

I dropped a nice new LED bulb on the drivers side - never to be seen again.... Managed to get the old one back in ok....

On the next attempt with new LED bulb I nearly dropped it again and then rather than trying to do a mirror image of the passenger side using my left hand I changed to my right hand and hey presto no bother (I am right handed by the way). I had to get a bit contorrted to get my right hand at a suitable angle but found it much easier.

Failing that if you smash the plastic cover the bulbs are very easy to change from the front... Good Luck

GRRRRR

eventually twigged as to to the right technique, got it back in a piece of cake..turned lights on, didnt work!

Read back of packet...polarity sensitive arse, really should have checked b4 i put them back in.

Took light out again (in seconds this time) flipped bulb round then dropped the little bugger!! its nowhere to be seen now, really could have taken hammer to the car

onto Ebay to get new bulbs...
