im new & need help!!!

hello all here on clio sport!

i have a mk1 (M reg) clio 1.2 at the moment & it is looking quite nice (if i do say so myself).

i am looking into having an engine conversion sometime in december, january or febuary & am going for a 1.8 16valve:D:D:D

i just wondered if some one could give me the info i need on what i will have 2 get to make it sucsesfull!

obviously the engine, gearbox, looms, ecu, uprated brakes & front shocks.

also been told i would probably have to change my fuel tank & fuel lines, & probably need a new driveshaft & hubs!

can any1 advise me anymore on what i need & dont need.

also any places that do conversions & rough costs would be nice to!

cheers all.

MATT!

youll need your car, 1 doner car and one buyer.

1. swap cash for car with buyer

2. swap details on V5

3.get insurace on the 16V

4 .drive off happy in a conversion that you dont even get dirty in!

make sure all the stuff you get from a write off aint, well, written off...other than that i guess you would.

I think i read a post on engine swaps recently, do a search for it, I think there was prices on the posts. :p

NO. THIS IS ONLY BECAUSE IT IS A 1.8 16VALVE GONG INTO A 1.2 CAR.

A 1.4 SHOOD JUST GO STRAIGHT IN2 URS IF ITS IS OF A SIMILAR ENGINE CLASS (IE. 1.2)

haha, sorry to yank your chain mate, but i was being sarcastic, its that time of the morning, lack of sleep and boredom. I got a 16v me old mucker ;)

oh. ok:oops: i just finished work & am now drinking vodka!!!!

i cant see too well 2 be honest with u!!!!

im just dreaming of having a 16 valve!!!!!

haha, its ok mate, Ive wanted one for years, originally was after a 19 16v chamade, but didnt go thru. 3 lovely years with a Pug 1.3 309(GLX ill have you all know!) until i got this one 2 years ago, worth the wait.

i had 2 pug 309 1.6 glxs before i got my current clio 1.2 oasis.

its been modified quite a bit, but is in desperate need of a 16valve engine!!!!
