Immobiliser ’Key’

I have what I assume is the standard Ph 1 immobiliser key where you connect the key to the slot before it allows you to start the engine.

I wondered, are the keys universal? I need a replacement as the plastic which holds it on my keyring has snapped meaning I have to keep it seperate, which is no use!

Sounds like a after market immobiliser and key to me.
