Hola!
My Clio 172 went into Renault about 3 months ago for a limp mode/electric warning light problem (was easier to get the problem rectified quickly, also get traders discount through them, through work) problem was solved, wire shorting out under bonnet, £100 later saved the hassle of finding the problem etc.
When the car was in with them I got a call saying the car had immobilsed itself, and the red light on the dashboard stayed on, turn off the key and back on and it was fine, they plugged it into the computer and it said "immobiliser computer not found". All they said on the invoice was "should get this checked if the problem re-occurs".
Now since than it has only done this to me twice, and literally you go to turn the ignition on, as you go to start the light stays on, wont turn over, switch key back and turn again and its fine. I'm not that fussed about it, but I've got this little niggling thing that (I'm driving over to Amsterdam mid-April) it's going to immobilise itself in the middle of Amsterdam and I'm going to be screwed!
Has anyone got any information on exactly what this could be?
Thanks in advance
