Immobiliser flashing light on dash

Does it always flash red when locked and as you start it up?
Just noticed it as I never had before and am now panicking that the below issue is not on its way. .....

Doesn't flash a fast as that, but yeah it flashes when locked/no key inserted.

Goes solid when ignition on for a few seconds then deactivates
