Immobiliser Kickin In

Like 7 time out of ten when i turn my key to try start my car the car turns over but then it dies and the immobiliser light flashes like hell turn the car off then try it aqain and everything is fine....whats broken on my car this time around !! ?????

could be the sensor around the ignition that pics up the immobiliser code from your key.

Try waiting untill all the lights go out before starting your engine, as it may be a bit slow to recieve the code from your key.

dont know if diconnecting your battery for 30mins, resets it,

Well i havent tryed battery bit yet but, Found that if i turn the key to ignition but not to get the motor started the like flashes madly no matter how liong i wait it dosnt stop turn it off then on again same thing if i lock then unlock the doors though its all fine....Ill try the battery thing hen i get a chance.

could my battery be need replaced by any chance ?

Well i tryed the above a few times and i still get the same problem, also just replaced the battery as old one was fucked wouldent hold a charge anymore.

Any other methods of resoving this other than undoing the live terminal for a half hour ?

its gonna either be ur immobiliser transponder or ur plip, no way of starting car unless u use other key providing it is not you transponder around ignition barrel

would replacing the decoder ring with another make any difference? as im having the exact same problem with mine...

^^ it could do. If it doesnt, then it eliminates that possisibility, but chances are its gonna start getting expensive!

Ill fish out my spare keyt and see if its happening with that too
