immobiliser problem... wont start.

Got a problem with my immobiliser... the batteries in my key are fine, the fuses are fine, and the car battery is fine. BUT the car will not immobilise by the key, therefore i cannot start the car. Not good considering its my daily.

Is there any way i can bypass the immobiliser so i can start the car without immobilising it?
Or is there anyway i can fix this?

Be a pretty shite immobiliser if you could just bypass it wouldnt it!
95% of the time it is the key head at fault. Tried your spare key?

Tried my two keys and both are working, so i have no idea what to do now....

(checked the keys for their infra-red and both worked.)

Right well one of the black infra-red recievers is broken on the chip board of the immobiliser.

Is there somewhere where i can get a replacement chip board? from like a reanult dealer or somthing?

Anyone know?

Having similar problems with my 172 at the moment, luckily my mother is abroad for the week so ive got her car to use. Keep thread updated as you may be able to solve my issues too!

still no luck, ive tried everything... changed the immobiliser blip, the clip that connecs to it, the fuses, the batteries... fresh out of ideas now.

Could be as simple as a low car battery.

havin it with mine all lights on dash come on then know go surely sum 1 knows wot the f**k is up so we can just get it done

Dealer job or bring it to us to check out , we can do everything immobiliser wise on Renaults now.
Re-syncs, re-codes, programming and new plips.
