182 Trophy
My biggest gripe with my Clio is the quality/compliance of the ride. Now that doesn't mean that I want it to be comfortable, but what I want it to do is not to skip about, bump steer and generally be a pain in the arse at higher speeds. This is not an issue with how hard or soft the suspension is....
Our roads are very bad over here (Revels or Si will tell you, I'm sure), so while I'm sure Clios are fine for most of you, over here I'm struggling (hence my reason to sell).
A friend suggested something like Trophy suspension, with the idea that the improved damping abilities would keep the tyre in contact with the road more, and there would be less skipping and bump steer. We also came to the conclusion that more caster would probably aid high speed stability by stiffening up steering inputs a bit.
Has anyone set out to do something similar, or fitted Trophy suspension and found an improvement? Any other suspension worth looking at? Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.
