In-Dash Monitor to replace........

............the cassette one already in mine.

Looking for something with DVD as a minimum (sat nav / tv tuner a bonus) which will be compatable with the standard Renault (Alpine) CD changer and will also connect to the stalk controls.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

In order to connect to the stalk control on the steering wheel, I believe you are going to need a seperate stalk adapter. I think Autoleads make them.

I'm going to generalise here, But I would imagine any of the Alpine units will work with your OEM CD Changer, I cannot confirm this, As my Clio is only a Dynamique so didnt come with one, I'm sure someone will be able to confirm this though.

I've only ever fitted Kenwood Units and Pioneer Units (When it comes to screens) But I've heard that the D105R is a good unit, And reletively well priced now as its been out a while. Its only a 6.5" Screen (some are 7", And I'm sure you know the difference half an inch can make ), And a bonus according to the spec sheet, This ones is OEM steering wheel ready,

ITs not satnav, But to be fair, I think the satnav versions start at double your budget (I was after sat nav, But couldnt justify it, So bought a Pioneer 5900 and a tom tom 1).

As i say, Someone can confirm that it will work with yoru stock changer, And if you order from them, Quote 7e6e57 when ordering for free postage

changer will not work,different system.autoleads and mes do steering wheel controls.as for units,you looking 2nd hand or brand new?

Thats a shame - don't really want to have to loose the CD player - can I use a second hand CD tuner rather than cassette one? I see they sell on ebay for peanuts.

Forget it! they are absolutely useless! I bought one for my clio, i followed the instructions flawlessly and it still didnt work. It came with a number for a technical help line, which cost £1.50 a minute or something stupid.
Called it up, the guy tried to tell me my head unit was too new to work with it, then he said turn it on and turn it back off again and if it doesnt work, its broken!.......CHEERS!
