InCarTec Adapter Question

I've bought a stalk/screen adapter for my 172/Kenwood h/u and was wondering if the lead that runs from the little black box to the plug on the back of the h/u is generic? Basically the one I got from CarAudioDirect wasn't made properly (the plug wasn't attached to the wires correctly!) and was wondering will another manufacturer's (e.g. Autoleads) patch lead work with it?

Don't think so, I know for a fact that the plug from the autoleads one is completely different to the incartec one.
If you got it from cad then just send them an email and they'll sort it out with you to get another one if its damaged.
