induction kit

hows it goin guys?
its bit of a newbie q, ive got a mk1 16v,
to fit a cone filter would i need an induction kit, or could i attach solid round pipes to the throtle body to the filter???

solid round pipes are the same as an induction kit, they just give you plastic pipes, that flex, and probably don't fit properly anyways, buy yourself some piping and make your own. pipercross filter are best on them cars the mushroom thing

thats cool buddy, wont i need a flange for the piping to sit on the throtle body??
