Hi all, just wondering is the ktr induction kit from ktec the best option?

It's a nice setup. But I'd save yourself some money and make your own one up using a 90 bend.

worst option ime biggest piece of s**t going. but i like the noise.

I made my own and tested them back to back on the dyno I dropped 2 hp with the stock air box with itg filter over my own k tec style kit so IMO its worth doing

a dyno isn't real world unless you drive around with your bonnet up and a 5ft industrial fan blowing air at your car?

not when doing 250mile + journeys on the motorway, smallest dab of throttle on mine and it done it but obviously at 5k it was at full roar

not on about motorway with regards to revs but the slightest dab of throttle on mine and it growled

This is true but its the best test I've got

bonnet up = gain power
bonnet down = maybe not

cheers for all the opinions.. My 172 cup is my daily driver so I'm getting the impression the noise would be to much.. Lol
performance panel filters worth trying? Or no point?

Panel filters are ok due to being able to wash and re-oil them. But that is also false economy imo. Paper filter job done

Running a V6 box, and that is a nice relatively inexpensive way of having some extra noise. Doesn't look too out of place in the bay either.
