is it advisable to amp infinity reference coaxials or dont u need to? runnign with 4x50 alpine HU

i had a set of 6x9 in my old car running straight off the head unit and they sounded fine?

I haven't at the moment on my Alpine HU, they do sound very crisp and clear, however you cannot turn them up that loud without distorion.

I think an amp would solve this problem.

what alpine h/u do you have whats the volume swing and signal to noise ratio i find that higher end alpine h/u with 105db s/n ratio runnnig speaker's with an efficiency around 92db (1w/1m) tend to get a bit dirty around 25 can i reccomend some type s comps or coaxials

i know my 9815 starts to clip after 24 on the volume control
