Inlet manifold/phlenum work ?

I heard v good things about AWT but would there be much of a difference between their work and say GDI ?
Dont wont to upset any one but its the next mod im looking to do and i have used GDI in the past !
In my somewhat limited mechanical opinion if the inlet and phlenum are made good to a high standard as im sure both companies would do surely there cant be that much difference to be gained ?
Or is it just horses for courses !

Don't think GDI do their own(the machine work I mean),they just fit them where as AWT do. Should be little or no difference between the 2, I await to be corrected...

AWT one is CNC'd the only one that is, much greater precision, we use AWT ones, its awesome

However we are out of 182 plenums due to lack of returns.

And you know what i mean.......personally, i'd be embarresed.

i had adavnced powertrain developments do mine (stan* on here) seemed v good. never seen an angleworks one though. doubt there is much difference but the CNC will take out any human error.

you get it on exchange. you dont send it....they send it to you. you fit it and send yours back.

CNC allows consistent replication, but you still need to design the best manifold in CAD and blending into the OE manifold with no steps, large radii changes or abrupt transitions took us ALOT of test manifolds to get right even though several whole manifolds were drawn from scratch.

I bloke I know in Carlisle (well near Carlisle) will do it. He will r/r for you also to show you gains. One last week gained 10bhp.

Seriously dude , what is your problem? I saw this thread and actually though to myself..... hhhmmmm bet ja.jack would have some 'comment' about his inlets, or AWT in general.... low and behold!!!

I bought my inlets from him. The one i took off mine was an RS unit, which are apparently better in stock form than the normal inlets. Comparing both units upto a new gasket, the difference was obvious. Very impressive, finish was spot on. Let it go chap. Your like a women bearing a grudge over nothing.

His name is Jonathon...he owns/runs JDM-Dyno. He's based on Kirkbride Airfield....maybe 5miles outside Carlisle. He doesnt really specialise in Renaults as such, he mainly does alot of mapping..and engine building for local rally lads.
LAst time I was up home, he had a nice super-charged 1.9 Kseries Elise..sprint car...so he does alot of things, and does it well. Defo worth a visist if you dont fancy a trek doon sooth!

Yours wasnt CNC'd, it was the second to last hand one i did........and because it was you, like i said before, i took more time over it than i normally would.

So if he want impressed then he'll be apalled by others.

Maybe your mans eyes are crooked and he didnt alight it properly.
