Inlet manifold work

Hey guys,

As far as Im aware one of the biggest restrictions in the 172 engine is the Inlet manifold so I would like to reduce that restriction as much as possible without getting too expensive (and definately not throttle bodies at the moment).

Anyway, I was speaking to a mechanic and he reckons they can flow the manifold and get me about 10kW. Is this feasable and what else would you suggest?

13 bhp from a bit of inlet manifold porting. I doubt it.

Maybe half that.

um....no...lol

your lucky its modular and no one section is too tight to get tools round, most manifold are a nightmare to port and in most cases totally useless.
