J JuanBoy Car RS Clio 172 Ph1 Sep 17, 2007 #1 Hi All I'm considering an Inlet Match on my Phase 1 172 as I've read reports that a substantial power gain can be achieved from these old engines. Anybody have this done? Pros or Cons? Anywhere in the SouthWest recommended?

Fredy Car 172 phII Sep 17, 2007 #3 You can get some power, but substantial - dont think so... It s a good mod, especially for ph I, but dont expect too much

J Johnc172 Car Cup Turbo, Flamer Sep 17, 2007 #4 all depends how good/bad your standard inlet is in the first place
Fredy Car 172 phII Sep 17, 2007 #7 True, but if he only does porting the difference won t be noticable. porting + exhaust+ remap - you get some power

N Neal 182 Sep 17, 2007 #10 I bert one of ebay and it pulls alot better now the only Engine mod I have aswell
Bagus Car 182 cup pack Sep 18, 2007 #11 I'm having this mod from BenR a few months and I can say that I'm happy with it. It gave a few bhp(3-4) top end and from 5000+ rpm the car was better than before... In the low rpms the car was pretty much the same.... Good value for money... And keep in mind that all Renaults look to benefit from air/breathing mods....
