DVD headunit or does it have a screen as well?
I want one without a screen.

Didn't realise that DVD head uits could be had so cheap! That unit looks pretty good, although I prefer the rotating knobs that were on my MP77 rather than buttons for the volume controls.

Looks good might have to get myself one let us know how it is in the next week or so you can test it omar for every one

Here you go everyone:

Night-Shot (bear in mind the display contrast is set to be visible by the driver):

That looks like next months purchase.
What is the sound quality like or are you running after market speakers as well?

I'm running co-axials on all four, and a sub.

The sound quality is excellent - good power and adjusability. Plenty of connectivity.

The only drawbacks:
1) I'm using a DVDRW at the moment, and it takes about 30secs to read the TOC when I put the disc in - this may be cured when I switch to a DVDR.

2) I've been spoiled rotten with my previoud headunit, which had a fantastic display, but this will be remedied when I fit my screen (£100 or under) - I'll be able to see Folder/Album, Artist, Track all at the same time (and watch DVD's too!).

Despite that, the display is good enough to read all the info - as one can set it to scroll automatically.

i don't like it to be honest

the display is not to my liking at all too basic for me

That's why I got it - doesn't look too expensive / bling.

I can see where you're coming from as my CDX-F7500 had a more comprehensive screen.... but once it was set-up, it didn't really serve a purpose.

Once an LCD screen is fitted, there will be so so so much more information displayed.

Where you fitting your screen?

Just got my sunvisor screens so need a dvd unit

I'm not sure... I've just been made redundant today, so I won't be worrying about it too much until I secure another job!

I was thinking of a custom fibreglass install in place of the current basic display (approx £200 probably).

Man thats Bad timing! Nice HU though.

can you change the display colours on it?

No.. it's blue and that's how it is.

The buttons on it are identical to one of the less expensive models, which has a red diaplay. If one can tolerate slightly incorrect labelling, then it's a strait swap AFAIK.

Either that, or I can open-it up, and change the LEDs to amber.

TBH, I like to know which buttons are which at night... on my last one, it got confusing!
