Installing sideskirts on DCI

After getting the 182 front bumper I realised I had the get the accompanying wings too, then I considered the side skirts to complete the look.

I don't want to drill holes into car due to potential rust issues. I have been advised with a seal instead. But I have some slight hesitation in case the come flying off on the motorway.
Before I begin purchasing what I need. Has anyone attempted this before - is there anything I need to take into consideration before starting. I suppose the tricky part might be lining everything up so its a perfect finish to sit flush with the front wings.

Basically the skirt is held on at the top by slotting the top lip of the skirt over a series of brackets (will get pics in a sec).use pop rivets to secure these brackets.

Anyways, these brackets do the job of lining up the skirt. You may have to use some blutac to test mount it. The skirt is then fully fixed to the sill by a line of pop rivets on the "jacking sill". You can use pop rivets to secure this. And you're done.

The rivets on the brackets will be protected from most weather. The rivets on the bottom will stay good long after the jacking sill has turned to rubber

Thanks that's helpful.
It looks like from the images that onces the brackets are in place, they can't be removed that easily. I think I'd perhaps like to use a combination of rivets and a seal. The idea of drilling holes is a little scary still.

The body work shouldn't rust. You can put copper grease on the rivets before fitting them for peace of mind. But the holes are so small that if there was rust it would be insignificant. But a thin line of sealant on the top contact point of the skirt will suffice.

Drill them out from the centre. The head will come off with the drill bit but the rest will be lost on the other side so make sure you test fit.

It's hard to make mistakes with the sport skirts as there is grooves on the wings and the ottom edge should line up with the jack sill.
