Insurance companies - License to print money

Just renewed my insurance and the only change was my wife got a SP30 (3 points & £60 fine) last year. These are the only points she has and I have a clean license. She is a named driver on my car and might drive it once a year.

How much did those 3 points add to my premium, baring in mind how many people have 3 points?

Answer - £53.70 fcuking bar stewards

Of course. But everyone else was over £100 than my current insurer (esure).

Outcome of renewing home insurance; instead of saying 'well done sir, your house must be quite secure as the dirty toerags failed to enter', insurance companies say they won't quote on anyone how has has an attempted theft in the last 6 months!!!!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, when I came to renew the insurance on the Clio after getting an SP30 and having a bump that wasn't my fault (someone drove into the back of me) they doubled my premium. That was Bell and I fcuked them off.

Just to add insult to injury. A few years ago I narrowly avoided hitting a young chap who drove across my path on the brow of a blind bend (what's more, his mother was a driving instructor). I was driving my wife's car and clipped a tree whilst sliding along the embankment to avoid him (don't ask!!!!).

Anyways, the other car wasn't damaged and because I didn't have an independent witness, had to settle 50/50 (that fcuked me off as he admitted guilt even though no damage to his car) and because I was driving my wife's car as a named driver on her policy, she had to declare a claim on her policy and I had to do the same on mine. We both ended up being penalised for the next 3 years.

Makes me wonder if I should have just hit him :dapprove:

No. Is Sky a member? My car insurance was only £422 including the £53 for my wife's SP30. Probably won't save that much.

i worked out from my insurance company 1 years ncb = 3 points
as every year im supposed to get a ncb i also have to declare a speeding fine each year to

Got my renewal through other day, it was something like £1100 through Bell, Go on their website do a new quote get something like £750.
Thats what annoys me, why not just give a proper quote at renewal time.

Just had a quote for the same as I am paying so very impressed. Not much point changing from current insurer this year. See what happens next year.

I got charged £35 the other day to do a change of address, i moved less than half a mile down the road, its annoying but they have to make money so fair enough

Sky insurance were so good with my quote I stopped searching and I am just goingbto go with them no one could get near them!!! One company actually laughed down the phone and thought I was lying with how good the quote was lol

Have to say I was very impressed with SKY. The shat all over the search engines like confused.com Only reason that I didn't go with them is esure offered me an amazing deal to stay with them and that is unusual as insurance companies normal fleece existing customers. Would definately recommend them.
