insurance- declaring 182 alloys?

Car  PH-Lamer 1.4 16v
quick question, if i was to change my standard dynamique alloys to 182 alloys, would i have to declare it on my insurance?or would i get away with them
cheers

You'd still have to tell the insurance company or they may refuse to pay out if you had to claim.

ahh right, i thought with them being renault alloys and not aftermarket ones there wouldnt be a problem?

No you should still tell them, insurance companies will do anything not to pay out!

If 182 alloys were an optional extra when the car was new then you
dont have to declare them, however if your car gets written off
and they need to replace it it wont come with 182 alloys.

I had a golf with leather, multichanger and cruise control as optional
extras and the insurance said they were not covered in the event
of a write off.

My insurer asked whether my car was standard, including any factory optional extras? So I presume you need to tell them?

Anyway, 182 alloys were never offered on the non-sport clios, so it wouldn't matter. They need to be declared.
