Basically theres a few lads on here who have done engine conversions, just wonderd who you were insured with? Best priced companies etc? Just spoke to an right c0ck at Adrian Flux who quoted me £2500 and asked me NO details at all.

Brent Acre OR ring flux and ask to be put through to the RED department. They deal with modified cars an know what they are on about.

both me and my bro have modified car insurance policies with them for the last 4 years and i doubt i would go else where, the service is great.

I've been with flux twice now (red dept) and am happy (though i've not needed to claim bla bla)

insurance actually works out cheaper with a 172 engine and mods declared than a standard valver for me :approve:

it's just the modified department (as opposed to classic or 4x4 etc..) you probably were put through to them.


Though I wasn't amused when the guy on the phone asked if it was a 'credit crunch car' when i said it was a 1992 clio! :dapprove:

Just rerung Adrian Flux to see if they could re quote me as the first lad was a dick. Put me throught to RED department and the girl knew everything i was talking about. Quoted me £1200 on my own name in a Megane coupe with a 172 engine stuck in. Im 21 and have no no claims. Highly recomned this RED department. Thanks chaps.
