insurance increase for ’painted’ alloys

If I was to get my current standard alloys painted up in an anthracite type colour with a silver edge, would my insurance premium go up? (Im currently with Admiral btw.) Id have thought this is a cheaper option than buying after market alloys from an insurance perspective.

Has anyone got any first hand experience of this?

I thought Id ask you intelligent lot rather than spend a couple of mind-numbing hours on hold to my insurance company.....

I think cleaning them affects your insurance these days

Dont see why colour should make a blind bit of difference to be honest.

Unless its a 182

never checked, had mine done in gloss black, cant see how this affects performance or desirability???

they never ask??? i guess they just assume silver to be the norm for alloy wheels
