Insurance on a cup?

Would insurance companies charge the same price for a 172 cup as a standard 172? Or would it be more?

Depends on the insurer

In my experience, it's more, due to the higher number of claims from people who can't drive in the winter without ABS/sense. Some insurers won't insure them full stop for the reason above.

172 CUP insurance is usually a bit more than std 172 (or not available) due to such poor claims history.

I remember years ago when I called up a few places for a quote, the cup was actually cheaper than the normal 172.

According to Admiral its lower due to not having leather therefore being less desireable..
