insurance query

Ive been ringing around a few insurance companies as i am paying quite a few quid for my insurance. I have fouund 2 insurers that are cheaper than my current insurer when i turn 19 in a few weeks, as i have a few mods on the car the insurers are asking for an engineer support form to be sent to them, what is this??

I got asked for a 'modification form' to be filled out and sent back, just listed what mods I had.

That might be what they mean, the guy didnt even know what coilovers were, and when i said i had a 172 rear bumper on he said im not sure if we can insure your car with a body kit on lol,

that was with kwik fit lol of all people, you would think working in an insurance department the would have a little idea on the diff between a bumper and a body kit lol

I got an online quote from bell, Renewal is this month.

£1100, My policy, Mum named driver.

0years ncb. 19, 2 years licence held

Lowering springs and exterior mods declared.

I dont have any mods on my car at the moment, But i played about with the mod options to see what i could get insured for and alloys etc made it go up by £50 etc.

Flux wanted 1700 but a lot of extras including break down cover, key cover etc etc.. that was with a few mods..

Green light i think it was now you need to be 19 AND now have 1 years ncb.
