Insurance question

Maz

Car  LY 200
If you don't have a car to insure how long do your no claims last for ?? do they go after 12 months or do you have them forever :S

Any help would be great please :)

Well if you dont claim then its infinity.

If you mean the bonus provided by the insurer for not claiming then thats specified in your insurance terms and conditions.

What I mean is say I end my policy now and I have 5 years proteced NCB wat happens to them, how long do they last ??

In fact it is indeed 2 years. I didn't drive my own car for over 18 months and I still have the original no claims I built up. I remember them telling me they would run out after two years, and I actually bought a car sooner than I wanted, just to keep the NCB.

Yes it is 2 yrs. My wife and I used to insure her car, one year in my name with my no claims, and the next in hers with her no claims, then mine etc... when I had company cars, in order to keep both up and running. As long as we changed each year, you keep within the 2 yrs and hence you are ok.

Hope this helps

Piers
