Insurance Renewal Soon - Who To Go With

  Skoda Fabia vRS
currently im with flux

i should get my renewal letter in the next few weeks and im wondering who else to try

however, and this is a HUGE point i need to make, i only want to know of companies that insure modifications properly, to the point of replacement like for like

i have had the misfortune of being with another company and having an accident, the car was written off and the modifications were not taken into account in the slightest, i was offered a very poor 'book figure' for a standard car, and the hell i went through to get them to pay more is something i couldnt cope with again

ive been assured by flux, both in the past and currently, that they cover things properly

does anyone else ?

it MUST be a specialist insurer who deals with modified cars, i dont want the likes of Elephant, Direct Line etc, as they are no use to me at all

Whatever quotes you do get Flux will beat them anyway when you phone back to say you want be renewing.

Flux all the way. They bend over backwards for me to beat re-newal. Get some quotes via confused and autotrader etc and phone Flux up, tell them it's cheaper. They'll want proof so I give them the login details for my confused account then they go "fair enough". Sometimes they only beat it by a few pence but it's worth sticking with them for continutity and no hassles getting no claims transfered etc.

Like rich says Flux will be any quote , obviously it has to be the same terms . I've just renewed with them again , had a cheaper quote from churchill so they beat it , no proof required as well this time .

I have never had to send them proof either, phone up give them the quote they knock around tenner off, I make sure the insurer is not someone like Highway - job done.

ditto that

i told them i wouldnt be renewing last year as i got a better quote from greenlight, they promptly dropped the price way lower than greenlight (or any other insurer) could go and also protected my no claims and insured all my mods correctly :D
