Insurance Renewal Though

Well 2 years driving with 2 Years NCD and im really happy about my quote.

What can i say, for two years i think this is a great quote.

So i was 18 at the time with 2 months driving experience (full kiddy license) and a named driver was my father, he had no effect on the policy and i WAS NEVER going to go for a FRONTED Policy.

First Year was - £1112.12 TPFT - Yes TPFT.

So then 19 with 1 Year NCB.
Second Year was - £560 TPFT.

Not a bad discount i thought.

So now 20 with Full UK License (IE 2 Years kiddy license is now gone) and 2 Years NCD.
Third Year - £489.75 TPFT.


Im really happy with this quote as it includes legal cover, windscreen cover and breakdown cover too. So bonus for me.

I have tried other companies to get a cheaper quote but none can match Quinn Direct for cost of this.

So after all, it pays to have your own policy from day one.

Any views on this?

Why TPFT? Why not Fully Comp?

have you tried adding someone on to ur policy like a nan or something, but you still being the policy holder. Normally makes it a lot cheaper?

Yes, ive added my dad, no change to the policy and doesn't make it any cheaper.

I also don't see the point in going Fully Comp on my car due to its age and value.

ah right, yeah i'd only go fully comp if the car was worth more than a few grand. Its not worth paying the extra!!

Im 18 and this year and insurance cost me £1971 i think on my 1.4 2004 clio with the mods decalred.

Wasnt that bad for fully comp!!!

Just to rub it in, have the mods declared as well as the rents and g/f on the policy.

All my mods are declared. Including the respray, doesn't matter really though.

So long as i dont tune the engine or performance im fine ive been told and in writing from Quinn too.

Strangely, before getting the 182, I done a quote on another car I was looking at, a Ibiza Cupra tuned to 233bhp and it came out at £550. Even though both cars are the same insurance group, the one with loads of power mods is cheaper!? Weird

i'm named driver on gf's policy all mods fully declared and also my ban and points declared she has 4yrs protected ncb both got 5 yrs driving experience 490 fully comp well pleased tbqfh went on confused and such like sites cheapest i got was 1600

i think thats expensive considering it's a 1.2!!! I was 791£ on a 172 with mods at 20...:S
