basically mate, the 'we havent got parts thing' is a load of bulls**t. Today i was told the real reason why my car isnt back... surprise surprise it isnt even bloody sprayed yet! takes the piss.

I am away this weekend, but rest assured i will be on the phone everyday next week chasing it up. Even if it means taking a day off and going to Telford to see what they have actually done ( or not done)

^ i would mate, and then send them a bill for petrol costs.

Apparently the car 100% has an alloy bonnet, as they got it second hand, i'll belive it when i see it.

thanks for the advice kunit, rest assured everthing shall be checked at least 4 times over lol

Just spoke to them before, a different women this time as the one dealing with mine was off. This one said they are still awaiting some parts from the supplier, the bonnet, mounting bracket and something else......next week we shall see if the list has altered when i speak to the other women dealing with my case!!

To be honest i am not that annoyed at the moment as mine hasn't been as long as yours has and i would much rather they take there time (to a reasonable extent) and do a decent job. The last thing i want is to go and pick it up and have to wait even longer whilst disputing there work.

its too far away to warrant going down, its literally about an hours drive if theres no traffic or i would have been there in a shot. To be honest i'm going to put in a formal complaint and am hoping to get a bit of money back of this due to paying 30 odd quid a week to drive a bloody corsa. On the plus side my cars lost 3 months worth of mileage and wear and tear, but thats completly besides the point

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
its also gained a cat C/D record though :(

where is it being repaired? if its in my direction ill more than happy go view for you

  Chocolate Bar™
its not been catagorised, as its been repaired not written off.

Thanks for the offer taylor, its at telford though so completly the wrong direction. Should be gettign it back tomorrow anyhow :)

BLOOODY ADMIRAL! just found out i now wont be getting my car back until next week now, as they've 'forgot' to order the clips for the bumper, how convenient. So after having a rant about the safety of my courtesy car, at least they're replacing that. gone well beyond my limits of patience now

  CLIO V6
I have just spoken to them again and yet again they are still awaiting the mounting brackets for the headlamp!! After a bit of a rant about the time it is taking the engineer in the background said they should definitely be there on Monday next week!

She also said we have another Clio in at the moment having some work done and thats been in a little longer then mine!!!! Guessing thats yours Middo!

I cannot believe you haven't got it back yet Mark, one of my mates is having trouble with Admiral. He had the accident end of November 2006, they have been round and said its a write off, said they would be round in a week to collect it. Still no sign of them!
Cliosport meet, telford?

thats pretty poor service from a body shop, i work for m&m vehicle repairs in longton they replace everything back to how t was when it came into them even down to stickers that the people have put on themselves (i know they do that as it's my job to do them)

they sound lieka very un organised bodyshop, i dont think it's admirals fault it'll be down the the shop not keeping them informed etc.

just to give you an idea of how big m&m is and how well the place is organised we have:
2 members of staff who's only job is parts,
about 18 - 20 people whos job it is to strip and re-fit the cars and parts of the cars.
10 people to prep panels and parts ready for paint
6 sprayers and 6 paint bays,
6 valeters for flat and polishing panes after paint and also preping of vehicles ready for the customer.
2 sign writers permanantly on site for copying and replacment of graphics on customer vehicles and commercial vehicles.
3 recovery drivers and recovery trucks

lots of office staff in charge of claims courtesy cars, accounts etc etc.

on average we turn over 70 vehicles a week.

i bet the one in telford isnt as big as that.

i know m&m, my grandads car went for a repair to one of the wings approx 6months ago, came out good as new. You even picked the car up and dropped it off for us as well. seem like a good bodyshop from my experience of them

I absolutley destroyed my TF in comparison and it was done in 6weeks.

New Hood, reshell down one side, undertray and front suspension. Full repray which was four layes of paint and took 10 man hours to spray.

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
Have you asked whats taking so long? I think after this wait I'd go there and sort it out, as they are clearly p*ssin about here.

  BMW 330d :)
bet you didnt know that your insurer is allowed to use 3rd party non official parts to put your car back together to save themselves ££.... Thats something they dont tell you...
