Can they say they wont pay out for everything becasue you didnt declare the changes to the car?

My insurance company dont care about any of my mods.. as long as they dont increase BHP by too much.

Just had to send a letter off to them listing everything and keep the receipts.

mine are really funny, they cant understand how ive managed to accumalte 30years no claims when im only 27. i keep telling them that its the truth. well cheap insurance tho. i only have to pay an extra £2 per month for my mods. my insurance is only £300 a year fully super dooper comp, its so comp if i sparrow poops on my car, i can make a claim for him to pay the valeter!!

The answer is they can pay out for NOTHING. Undeclared mods = void insurance. I think there was a lot of strong views about this on another thread way back. For 100% peace of mind you have to declare / check all mods, bearing in mind they may not all cost you any extra depending who the insurer is.

I belive its there legal obligation to pay out to the 3rd party. However they could then chase you thought the courts to get there money back.
