Interior fan broken not resistor pack!

Car  Clio 182 FF
Hi Guys and girls,

My interior fan has decided to pack in today went over this massive pot hole/ramp thing in the road that i didnt see. It sounds like its jammed was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of getting to the fan and try to unjam it. I tested the resistor pack fault (shorted pins 1 and 5) with still nothing from the fans. Is it a mission to get to the fan?

Cheers,

Kurt

Hiya mate is this on the climate control system??
If so does your screen still work but no fans??
if so i have the same issue and no one seems to want to help or respond...

4 maybe 5 6mm bolts holding fan in.

I had this issue and it was the fan/motor

£20 of a breaking car and problem solved.

I have the non responding issue, just my fan is jammed on full! Won't respond to anything :/

I think that when fans are constantly on full its the resistor pack at fault.

I have a spare one if you want it. As I purchased the resistor pack and motor. But turned out I only needed the motor.

Quick update on this. Seems that it will work fine in the mornings but as it gets hotter in the day the fan then won't blow. Guessing its because of the temperature, will this be the resistor pack?

Cheers guys,

I'm doing the fix myself, I already have what I need. Now just need a half an hour or so to actually do it. Ta though!
