anyone know how to change the gearknob on my 98 1.2 clio. It dosent unscrew (lift-up reverse)

think you have to saw it off

or you can use mole grips and twist it off but not 100% sure on that

can it be replaced with an aftermarket one? when buying one, do i order a lift-up reverse or standard. Cos it's not really a lift-up on mk2 phase1s is it? it's just got the slider thingy.

You will need to hacksaw the standard gearknob off,making sure you cut the white platic bit under the rubbery stuff as well so you just have the shaft!
Lift up reverse is the type of gearknob you need to go for,as the slider thingy is the lift up part that allows you to select reverse!

i did a guide on how to do this with pictures, have asearch shuold be on here somewhere. But yeah, you have to dremel/saw it off
