Interior light

Just wondering if any of you guys know what the little holes are at the front and back of the interior light on my 172 02 reg?

I think they are for your air conditioning, there is a fan inside which has something to do with the a/c, temperature etc.

it seems to hum a little when i turn my ignition on, just around the little vents (holes)

not sure if it stops when i start the car, i struggle to hear what its doin with the engine running

not sure if that is normal or not

It is the interior temperature sensor that controls the climate control.

common problem theres a guide on here somewhere on how to change it for a new one.

No its the fan that needs changing, I have the video that someone made on here on how to get it fixed. Pm me your email addy and I can sent it to you.
