Intermittent wipers not working

Sorry if this sounds stupid but are all wiper settings on the one fuse? I've not had the car long.
My intermittent wipers aren't working but the other settings are (constant, really fast & rear). It looks like they have an adjustable speed setting also. The car is a 172 Cup.
Any ideas?

If mine's on the first mark, it won't do anything until it needs to.

I know you've said it's a cup, but did some of them come with this ?! I'm unsure...

My first thought until I seen cup.

i have the same problem on mine. And I'm pretty sure i don't have a sensor on my windscreen but its not a cup???

How can I tell if they are auto wipers?
Sorry for my bad knowledge I've only had the car 2 weeks and even though it packed up on me this morning, I love it still!

Has it got a rain sensor in the middle of the windscreen ?

Pour some water over the sensor and see if they come on in pos.1 ...

I've never noticed one, but to be honest I've never looked for it either. I'll have to check when I get back home.

Looks like the car doesn't have a sensor.
Likely cause?

When you actuate the stalk position can you hear a relay in the UCH's area "click"?

Its not as scientific as plugging it in on CLIP to see what the switch position reports bur it should help rule out a switch/relay fault vs a dodgy motor.
