Internet Explorer's gone slow

What would cause this? Its happened all of a sudden after I let my parents on the laptop last night when I was out lol. I turn it on when I get back and the actualy computer performance seems fine(Hard drive and so on working ok) but when you connect to the internet its gone terribly slow to load all the pages.Ive gone into internet options and cleared the tempory files and so on but its had no effect. As im typing this the letters are not keeping up with my fairly slow typing-its like all under water.What could have caused this?

Use Firefox .

As for your actual problem, it's a bit strange as everything is going slow. Open up some local html files and see how it fares. Is windows explorer running slow?
