Internet Security 2010 - ROGUE SPYWARE

This is a complete bummer. I don't know how it got installed but it disables taskmanager, and the running of all .exe files so cannot even load any anti malware program or even regedit, cmd etc.

I tried it for about 2 hours last night and gave up - format c: is on the cards.

Been there, done that, started in safe mode with networking in XP and managed to sort it from there, it is a complete system f*ck though.

i had it before, using malwarebytes and a couple of tools i got rid of it, google that s**t up, it's doable.

Easy to remove.

First of all you need to re-associate the exe file name. Open up task manager, end the process av.exe. Open up regedit, search av.exe - remove it. Run an malwarebytes.
