iPhone 4 from Carphone Warehouse

If someone got an iPhone 4 from the above shop on lets say o2 would it be locked to o2.

Even though the box is unbranded?

Yes. Only apple stores sell unlocked iPhones.

When i got my 3GS on Vodafone they branded the box from factory. Thats why i thought an unbranded box will be unlocked.

No iphone packaging is branded. Never has been.

you can get them unlocked on the o2 website properly though can you not? first thing i did when i bought mine from an o2 shop.

oh, and orange have a simcard envelope attatched, and vodafone have a small barcode label on the cellophane... thats it tho...
