iPhone & Apline Headunit

Basicly I'm having a problem with my alpine x303i headunit freezing when connected to my iphone. It only happens when trying to skip tracks not when playing. And only happens on certain tracks like track 11 & 13. Or 6 & 9.

Anyone else had problems like this as I've looked everywhere and cant seem to find the problem. Seems to happen more when playing Playlists.

I've got an Alpine IDA-X303, and if playing from my iPhone, it works for about 10 minutes, then cuts out for 1s every couple of minutes thereafter.

Really annoying, but apparently it's just not properly compatible with the iPhone.

Bough a S/H Nano in the end and just velcroed it up behind the dash.

Fair enough, thats maybe why It might not work well. I have a 3GS but its only just updated to the new software OS4 so will see if thats makes any difference. If not iPod nano time I thinks

Whoops , Oh well I will just use an iPod from now on. Im sure Apple will realese an update at some point so iPhone 4's work with car headunits.

I had similar issues with my 3GS last year when 3.0 was first released.

I had this all week with my headunit did a quick restore on the phone and works a treat now thank god!

How do you do a restore?

I think a restore and setup as a new phone was what cured it for me with 3.0

All working well with my iPhone 4 and my Alpine HU

Yeah fixed mine now, It works fine with OS4 software and dosnt freeze at all anymore all happy
