iPhone Connection to Std HU

As my iPod seems to have died I'm thinking I'm gonna have to use my iPhone instead.
I've got a Connects2 that connects to the headphone jack on iPods.... I tried it on the drive home but couldn't get it to work.... Am I being stupid or will it not work??

I think thats what it is....I'm probably just being dumb as was trying to connect it whil driving....Worked fine with my iPod.

doesnt matter what the headunit is he hasnt changed anything,if it has a proper ipod connection then it must have a serial number starting 8.... Or it wont have the correct software

My iPhone sometimes doesn't play through the headphones until it's unplugged and plugged in again. Dunno why.

I bought a connect2 for my ipod. Works mint. Charges, steering controls work and all that.

When i plug the iphone in, nothing works ?

Anyone know why ?

bonxy where did you get the connects2 adaptor from and how much?

ive seen them on ebay for 45-55 quid and also on the connects website, kinda answering my own q i know, but wondered if anywhere else
