iphone jailbreak and unlock

Gents,

Sorry in a massive rush and need a quick answer.

My friend has an iphone 3g on 3.1.3 on o2, he has officialy had it unlocked by o2 and is now on vodafone due to signal issues.

if he jailbreaks it will he loose the unlock, I assume he wont as its official?

if he does jailbreak it what program is best snowbreeze?

Pretty sure the unlock would be fine.. ( Don't hold me to that though..)

As for JB use Spirit.. Its the newest one.. Untethered JB for 3.1.3

ok, ive done my 3gs 3.1.3 today using spirit but didnt know if it was useable on the 3g
