iphone to MBP

Hi guys,

I am wondering if i can bluetooth photos from my iphone to my MBP and if so how do you do it?

I am aware the iphone doesnt let you send pictures ect to other phones but why do both devices have it if they cant be paired? especially since both are apple products aswell?

have you set up iclould on your iphone and mac, icloud uploads a photo that you have just taken straight away to there cloud based services and then it appear automatically in your iphoto library,

but it is a bit of a pain having bluetooth and not been able to use it properly.

Bluetooth is a multi profile thing. Some phones support the file transfer aspect some don't. The main reason why they don't is because Bluetooth is SLOW.

Anyway, this is what you do.

Go to Spotlight (the magnifying glass in the top right of your MBP's screen)

Type "image capture"

Plug phone in with USB cable

Then enjoy the merits of high speed photo importing and exporting.

so i have to do it with the cable? there's no way to do it all wireless?

Well you can email them, but i don't see why you'd want to?

Or you could set up wireless sync in iTunes and get it to sync your pictures.

Set up iCloud, much simpler
