iPhone Vodaphone Insurance -WTF?

My mrs has just got an iPhone on contract with vodaphone and has been told the only way to get insurance on it is to go instore. Nearest store is an 18 mile roundtrip and she's disabled so it's not straightforward for her to do.

They can't tell her why it can't be done over the phone, just that it can't.

WTF is that all about?

Can anyone recommend another company that she can get insurace with either online or over the phone?

Try home insurance?

Mine is £100 excess but no extra payment on out policy. Even covers water damage.

Add it to home insurance, pretty much everything i have is added to the home insurance.

Home insurance won't cover iPhones, I checked when I got mine.
