iPhoto on Yosemite? Crashing my MacBook :(

Car  320d M Sport
Hmm? Mid 2010 MacBook Pro core i5. 4gb.

So Yosemite is running brilliantly, really like it. However, iPhoto is crashing it constantly, even when just looking through photos it restarts almost always. I've read online apple have stopped support for it? What program / photo manager is best to use if that's the case.

Everything is up to date etc on the Mac.

Thanks!

Hi,
Have you updated the iPhoto software, I know when I upgraded I had to download a new version of iPhoto ( which replaces the old icon ).
If I recall you have to search for iPhoto in the App Store ( on your Mac ).
Hope this helps.

Yep. I photo library upgrader or something it's called.

Apple are phasing out iPhoto though. I just dunno what to use next. I only use my macbook for Traktor DJ and photos really.

Yeah I know what you mean, I've been using the iPhoto version 9.6 with no issues, and I'm using the mid 2009 MacBook - odd, very odd.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful :)

Yeah aperture is dead. Even adobe released a migration tool for lightroom.
