Yeah thats right, has a SD card slot behind the front panel as well, and the connection for ipod is
just a USB cable slot that you plug cable into so should work with just the normal ipod cable

So looks like I'll just have to use the new style USB iPod cable, take it this plugs into the rear? Cause I want to hide the iPod

you use the same cable you plug your ipod into the computer, into the head unit. On the kenwood HU, it goes into the slot on the bottom left of the face, and it should read it fine.

You wont be able to hide the ipod though...

Oooo didn't notice that, I really want to hide my iPod in the glovebox tbh.

May have to look at another head unit.

I dont think many head units will allow you to do that... unless you drill a hole through to the glove box :/

That's the idea, I'm gonna cut a section in the glovebox and thread it through a rubber grommet so it looks tidy.

One thing I hate is a cluttered car haha

If you can find an Alpine you like I'd personally go for that

I have that Kenwood you linked, although it is the non bluetooth model, and find it feels a bit ''cheap'' tbh

I had an Alpine headunit before and even though it was one of their bottom/middle of the range ones, I felt it had a lot better build quality and layout, fascia style etc.

Just my opinion :)

This one the USB is on a lead coming out of the back of the head unit not on the front so you can hide it in the glove box
if that's what your looking for

Tbh I do like the alpine H/U's, the main thing that attracted me to the kenwood was the fact I can have a orange/red backlight to match the clio  I'm going to pop down to me local ICE shop an have a look first hand.

Yeah thats what I want to do ideally.
