ipod connection

I appreciate that this subject has been talked about on a number of occasions but I am just wondering if anyone has used a "connects 2" ipod adaptor for the s/headunit.

just really wanting some views and opinions, otherwise it looks like a dension.

Bought one on the 27th December...Still waiting!
Apperently quite good though, its only been a week one more to go.

Nice one, student loans come through so I may invest as it seems a good price.

Would it be possible to run it into the glovebox so the ipod is not on show by any chance?

Yep thats exactly what my case was!! I thought Id do it before xmas so the payment would go out at the time of the loan.. Im doing the same thing, Ill probably feed it round the back of the HU then into the Glovebox, throught the removable panel at the back, if its not removeable then Ill drill through.

ive got the denison one and the sound quality is amazing. Downsides are its very complicated to use and very expensive (110)

I have read a lot of good things about the dension, but people do seem to have some complications with it. It is a bit expensive but you often find you pay for what you get, however I may just be a cheap student and try the connects 2 one .

DynamiqueD I think that’s what al try as well. Just hope it isn’t very complicated - hate electrics with a passion.

mine was a xmas present so the cost wasn't that important, lol. As i said it is complicated to use, i had to get my bro who is abit of a techno freek to translate the manual into basic english and give me a lesson on how to use it.

i had a denison one and it was pants.

i tried to contact the place where i bought it with no joy, so i sent it back.

the sounds quality was very poor, like the input was to high, i later read that there was a firmware update available to make it 4.5v instead of 5v, which would explain it.

the ipod was also locked so u had to use the steering wheel controls, again i have read u can sort this. its not easy.

No luck with mine, I have to send it back! Connects2 said to "disconnect the headunit", its like the first thing I thought of when fitting it! Could be faulty. I might just find myself my old Alpine again, much easier!

Right, Caraudiodirect have stopped selling them, which says something. And the one I returned was not faulty. Contacted Connects2 to ask the reason why it didnt work, see what they've got to say.
