iPod-Denison kit help needed!

  Weeman sucks ****
The missus got me the Icelink FM kit from halfords for xmas. She was told this is the only kit that will work in a 52 172 cup...is this right? I'm no expert myself but don't want to upset her!

Can you get a kit that plugs into the standard renault HU??

Cheers

I think they are lying..
The FM modulator just plugs in between your aerial & HU doesn't it & so can be used on 'any' car setero, and i take it you have to tune your stereo in, to play through it. (kind of like the FM transmitters, only better sound quality.)
Have a read on this for the FM modulator:
http://www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/iPod_Car_Kits/Universal_FM_Modulator/Dension_ice>Link_FM_Modulator

They make the Ice Link adapter which you buy specifically for your Standard HU which uses the CD changer socket on the back of the HU allowing you to control the iPod from the stereo/stalk control & charge it aswell.
And look at this for the Ice Link Plus:

Seems a half decent price on that site actually.
Hope this helps mate.

According to the book in my local Halfrauds the FM link is the only one that fits any Renaults :clown:

Indeed ... went in today hoping they may have the correct one in stock to give me something to do. But alas no, hoping one of the local ICE places will be open tommorrow and have one in stock.
