ipod problems

my ipod nano has just started to play up, can anyone help?

basically i normally have it on shuffle when im playing songs, but now its skipping through all the songs and not playing any of them?

ive been on the ipod page and there is not help, help?

Plug it into your computer and restore it to the last point it was working, or install an update for it or something?
