Ipod Video 30gb?few questions??Good/bad?

  6/468 17poo
Very tempted to get a smallish (size of the product) harddrive player and this seems to be the smallest with a massive harddrive?
Whats the sound quality like?
Is it loud enough on headphones?
How hard is it to put songs on?
Whats the battery life like?
Is ipod the way to go?or something like creative, what do people think???

Ryan, thanks in advance!!

I love mine, think its great easy to use and works really well. Standard headphones could be better though.

I have heard that the creative is even better.

I have got the 30GB one in white and love it:). I mostly use it at work and if you are thinging of getting one use a decent pair if earphones and not the Ipod ones (there sooo crap).

The Ipod's are very load and as regards the battery life the 60GB one has a couple of hours xtra over the 30GB one.

The screen is very good and I find it easily big enough to watch a movie or tv program.. The sound quality is excellent and is more than loud enough to hear in noisy conditions.

The headphones are standard ipod headphones and can be improved on, the push in ear type are far superior and dont cost much. The battery life is about 2 hours when watching videos, way way longer if your just listening to music (prob about 12 hours ?? if not more.)

Putting songs on is piss easy, just use Itunes or if your like me I use GTKpod for linux (basically a clone of itunes) Converting videos to ipod format is even easier, use a program like videora for windows.. I use a custom script on my linux box, any tv progs that my system records can be set to automatically transcode them to Ipod format after recording.

Not used the creative myself, the ipod is a great peice of kit but im sure it could be improved on.
