TBH it doesnt smell as bad as people make out, yeh its a bad smell, but not that bad!

Bloody hell Matt - do you actually have a sense of smell? ;)

Iron-X smells awful - but as it's good at what its supposed to do, I can easily overlook that.

What does crack me up however, is the large list of warnings on the side of bottle in terms of affects on the skin, swallowing it, damage to the environment, etc. But at no point does it actually tell you whats in it!

There's TR.IX, I'm assuming from the same company that do IRON.X looking at the branding that does both..

Hi used Iron X(spray) a couple of times with great results. But any advice on how not to use loads. I got through a hell of a lot just doing one car

it generally depends on how contaminated the car is, if it's really bad then you will use quite a bit. the 2nd time if it has been properly sealed you won't have that much contaimination to remove. How much of a bottle are you using on a single car, and was this the 1st time you'd used it on that car?

I didn't even use half a bottle on one car.

I actually don't think the spray head helps. The standard sprayers work better as per with wolf's product.

car was bad, gf's mini in cream, used over half a bottle. Would it be more economical to apply to a wet car?

the pic of the ironX working is not that bad at all, if the whole car was like that you're over applying to use that much in one detail. Especially on a Mini. I would have though the car would be rinsed after washing / de tarring, so leave it wet and spray it on lightly, let it start to work. if it shows signs of drying out lightly mist again, if it's still drawing out iron aggitate with with a detailing brush.

If you still find you're using a lot, try switching to the ironx soap gel. takes a little longer to start working but you use less and using it with a sponge aggitates helps lift off the iron so make sure you wash out the sponge afterwards
