Just about to purchase this magic potion, going to get the eco pack. Do you apply it with a trigger spray? I presume I need a bottle and chemical resistant trigger spray?

^haha. recently took delivery of the new Iron-X batch which is supposed to smell better... "squashed flowers" (WTF)?

A quick whiff and it still made me sick a little inside.

I used some yesterday on my wheels.

My brakes ran down to the metal. So you can imagine the damage. I used some Autosmart fallout remover to try remove the filings from the rest of the car which worked. Eventually. I also tried it on my wheels but they were so bad, it didnt work. Clay didnt work.

I sprayed some iron x on my inner rims yesterday, left to dwell for 5 mins, came back, aggitated withabrush lightly, just a quick job, inner rims were almost clean!

Its a gel this new stuff too so it clings, it seems to work very well too.

LOL at squashed flowers.

f**k that its enough to make you chunder! However, its bloody awsome stuff.

Started the prep on the ZS Friday night. This involved whipping off the wheels, full arch clean and wheels. I've tried to tackle the wheels before with the usual Billberry/Tardis combo. They come up OK, but the wheel backs and in-between the spokes were still marked. So, used the same combo, rinsed down then let the Iron X on them. Wow! Spray on, leave for a min or two, agitate, rinse off, came up as new!!! Shame one or two of the wheels are curbed, but they are a massive improvement on what they were! I'll let it loose on the 197, the boot especially has signs of fall out.

Five stars from me!

As RussZS suggested wolfs chemicals decon gel or even Deironizer, half the price of ironX and just as good IMO.
The Deironizer can be used instead of clay on the bodywork.

^^ Dont get confused Marky, you still have to clay. Any of the above products wont shift all contamination. Just iron particals and brake deposits in general. Its a step added before claying. Iron x and the wolfs brake duster both work differently. Iron x flashes almost instantly as the brake duster takes longer due to it being gel and can be left on for hours and also be used in direct sunlight. Also the wolfs stuff has a degreasing agent in it to lift off which makes it easier to rinse. Both have very good uses but my iron x will now be left for bodywork only and brake duster for the wheels for cost reasons
